Instrument Metrological Conditions (IMC)
The IMC Rating increases pilot safety by training pilots to be able to fly in IMC conditions, i.e. flying in or above cloud, out of sight of the ground.
The IMC Rating training consists of a minimum of 15 hours of flight training and ground study. At the end of the course you will need to pass a multiple choice ground examination and a flight test.
Night Rating
The Night Rating allows pilots to enjoy flying light aircraft after sunset in Visual Metrological Conditions.
The Night Rating consists of a minimum of 5 hours of flight training. Your instructor will certify when you have reached the required standard, so there is no need to carry out a separate skills test with an examiner.
